What the evening covers

Each leader ran their own area well. The biggest problems belonged to no one.

Most senior teams are made of capable people, each responsible for a part. The problems that matter most often sit between the parts, where everyone is affected and nobody is accountable.

Sean will tell the story of recent work with the senior leaders of a globally recognised high street retailer. Together they built their whole system in LEGO®, then read it through two of Peter Senge's archetypes: Limits to Growth, where the effort that drives success also builds the constraint that stalls it, and Shifting the Burden, where a quick fix eases the symptom and quietly weakens the real solution.

Then each leader marked where they had real influence. The bricks clustered on their own patches, not at the leverage points.

You will see how The Systems Synergy, which brings together LEGO® Serious Play®, Senge's Fifth Discipline and Dialogue, helps a senior team see the whole system it leads, and work on it together.
